What makes this wetsuit so special:

Firstly the materials, the wetsuit neoprene is required to provide warmth, flexibility, buoyancy and ease of exit (taking the wetsuit off) that most triathlete’s are looking for. Lomo have trailed countless materials to find a grade of neoprene that will give the degree of flexibility that is required for triathlon. The high degree of flexibility means that swimming in the suit is less restrictive especially around the shoulders. Having trialled various grades of neoprene, Lomo settled on using the Matsuda neoprene range. The Matsuda range fulfilled requirements of a triathlon wetsuit and at a fraction of the price of comparable triathlon wetsuits.

The main body area, which requires warmth and buoyancy, is made from 3mm neoprene. The arms and legs, which still require buoyancy but also need higher flexibility are made from 2mm neoprene and the under arm area is made from 1.5mm Matsuda Mega-stretch neoprene.

The underarm area is where most flexibility is required in a triathlon wetsuit, as you overstretch this panel whilst extending your arm at the top of your swim stroke.

The wrist area traction panels of the suit are made from Matsuda Aqua-grip neoprene which helps to increase the amount of propulsive force transferred from your arms to the water.

The cut of the suit (anatomically shaped panels) is designed to follow the contours of the body and give a fit to your body that is like a 'second skin'. Having anatomically shaped cut panels provide for maximum movement flexibility.
